The Cambridge elite flashed their assets as they strutted their stuff on the catwalk in revealing bondage outfits, see-through mesh trouser suits and backless dresses. Others were completely topless and used heart-shaped nipple tassles to cover their modesty as they paraded in front of around 1,000 people at the event in Cambridge. Male student models also posed in just their pants at the show, which aimed to “celebrate the diversity of fashion.” The 20 students, who were all aged between 18 and 25 were selected from around 200 after auditions, were wearing a selection of high fashion and student designs.
Pippa Bull, 20, who studies History of Art at Gonville and Caius College, was one of the many girls who posed topless. She wore sparkly pink nipple tassles under a blue jacket and tight black snakeskin trousers. She later modelled a red bondage-inspired outfit, with giant tassled-shoulder pads and skimpy plaited pants.
Xelia Mendes-Jones, 19, from St Catharine’s College, wore an elegant long black dress, which had no back – revealing her mesh tights and pink pants when she turned round. She also wore a see-through mesh trouser suit, which showed off her nipples as she paraded in front of the audience at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
The male students, including 19-year-old Joonas Kalda, who studies maths at Peterhouse, also stripped down to their underwear, accessorising with shades and body paint.
The outfits featured designs by brands such as Burnt Soul and our Legacy, as well as pieces designed by students. The event raised money for the charity Cambridge House, which tackles social injustice in South London.
