victoria-pendleton-finishes-last-2
Olympic cycling star Victoria Pendleton looked happy as she finished a horse race without falling off – despite coming LAST.

The 35-year-old aspiring jockey looked pleased with herself after completing the point-to-point race in Higham, Suffolk, having fallen off at her last two events.

3 victoria pendleton finishes lastShe came last out of 11 riders in the race, but afterwards said “it was an absolute joy” to ride her horse Minella Theatre.

She later looked relaxed as she posed for photos with fans. Pendleton, who is Britain’s most successful female Olympian, is set to compete in the prestigious Cheltenham Festival in just four weeks – but still hasn’t won a race. She fell off her horse as she rode her first hunter chase at Fakenham in Norfolk, despite being the favourite to win.

She also took a tumble the weekend before when she competed at Barbury Castle in Marlborough. Victoria, who had her first riding lesson just one year ago, has been enticed out of retirement to attempt a Switching Saddles challenge, with the aim of transforming from a complete novice to riding at the world's most prestigious jumps racing fixture in 12 months.
