The actor, 27, who has shot to fame after starring as Dexter Mayhew in the TV adaptation of David Nicholls’ 2009 novel, One Day, will play the lead role in the new thriller. Woodall stars as mathematical genius Edward Brook, who works to find the pattern in prime numbers in the eight-episode series.
He was seen with a rucksack on his back as he walked over the historical stone-covered bridge which leads from the Third Court to New Court at St John’s College, and later through the college courts. Leo, who was wearing brown trousers, a light pink shirt over a white T-shirt and a grey blazer covered in pin badges, also stopped to talk to a female co-star. He will appear alongside Quintessa Swindell, who plays NSA agent Taylah Sanders, who has been instructed to keep tabs on his behaviour.
In the synopsis from Apple, Edwards hopes to crack the code that will allow him to access every computer in the world.It reads: “Soon he begins to realise an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, a female NSA agent, played by Swindell, who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians' behaviour.”
Leo has previously appeared as cheeky Essex boy Jack in the second season of the HBO hit series The White Lotus, an episode of Holby City and the Universal series, The Vampire Academy.
