New photos show lorries and diggers outside UNVRS, pronounced Universe, on the site of the old, world-famous Privilege club, which is almost finished and will be welcoming clubbers on May 30 – following a complete renovation. Construction workers are busy completing the landscaping around the venue, which has kept its iconic metal-framed dome.
The former superclub Privilege, which hosted live performances from celebrities including Freddie Mercury, Kylie Minogue and Spandau Ballet, had a capacity for 10,000 clubbers, but the new venue is even bigger and is billed as the world’s first HYPERCLUB. The huge 6,500 square metre venue, which closed during the Covid pandemic in 2020 and has not re-opened since, is now set to host some of the world’s biggest DJ’s for a series of summer party nights, including Carl Cox on Sundays and French DJ David Guetta on Fridays.
But the new experience, close to the village of San Rafael, does not come cheap, with VIP entry costing a jaw-dropping 500 Euros (£475) and a round of five drinks costing 99.99 Euros (£85). Basic entry tickets to the 11pm nightly events cost at least £60, which includes a free bus from San Antonio, Ibiza and Playa d'en Bossa. VIP tickets include a private terraced balcony, a VIP rest room, a VIP entrance and five drinks.
The club also comes with a strict dress code, with flip-flops, tank tops, swimwear and men’s shorts banned.
