A photographer has taken a stunning photo of the ruins of Kilchurn Castle reflected in Loch Ewe in Scotland.
Charles Mcguigan spent two hours waiting for exactly the right lighting to take the picture of the 15th century castle on the rocky peninsula yesterday (Sunday).
“I left home at 6am and travelled two hours to the Loch, then waited another couple of hours until I had the right moment,” said Charles, 48, from Stirling. “It was absolutely freezing standing there and the Loch was frozen solid, but it was worth the wait and I’m pleased with the result.”
Kilchurn Castle was the ancestral home of the Campbells of Glen Orchy, who later became the Earls of Breadalbane.
