Flooding reached record levels at Welney in Cambridgeshire after Storm Christoph hit the UK.
Roads around the Fenland village were flooded after the River Great Ouse burst its banks following heavy rain.
The Environment Agency issued 48 flood warnings and 174 flood alerts and the Met Office issued an amber warning for rain across central and northern England.
