Robson Green’s fishing adventure looked a little tamer than usual when he was spotted heading to the river with a picnic basket on the set of ITV’s crime drama Grantchester.

The angling enthusiast, who hosts an Extreme Fishing series on Channel 5, looked to be in his element as he walked to the river in his wellies with his on-screen family. Green, who plays Detective Geordie Keating, was wearing a knitted paisley sweater vest, with his shirt sleeves rolled up for his family adventure.

His four children were seen smiling as they walked in a line behind him, carrying nets and food supplies. Green was filming the scenes in the pretty village of Grantchester in Cambridgeshire for series seven of the 1950s crime-fighting series. It comes after he recently did a three-part mini-series with James Murray, Robson and Jim’s Icelandic Fly Fishing Adventure, which was shown on ITV4 this summer.
